Established in 1873, the University of Canterbury is located in Christchurch and is New Zealand’s second oldest university. It ranks in the world’s top three per cent of universities and is internationally recognised for its high-quality degrees, research excellence, and a vibrant and supportive learning environment across its campus community. University of Canterbury was the first university in New Zealand to be awarded the prestigious QS 5-star ranking for overall excellence.
